An enchanting journey through 8 different stories in Variations on a Love Theme, presented by Ventana Ballet & Austin Camerata
January 17, 2025—Ventana Ballet & Austin Camerata enchant the ATX performing arts scene again with Variations on a Love Theme in their third annual co-presentation. An Austin favorite, this intimate show brings the audience up-close-and-personal with the art. Limited seating at each showing immerses the guests in an unforgettable experience, as they travel through 8 different love stories, just inches away from professional dancers and musicians.
“Each of the stories in this show invite the audience on a journey through various stories, or ‘variations,’ of love. Everyone experiences some form of love in their life, and it’s really special to explore that theme with our audiences in one of our favorite collaborations with Ventana Ballet— a unique and beautiful experience in and of itself,” shared Daniel Kopp, the Artistic Director of Austin Camerata.
New this year, guests are invited to immerse themselves before and after the show in our Cocktail Lounge where they can enjoy jazz music, wine, and signature craft cocktails like the "Love Potion," in the beautiful gallery-turned-lounge at Lone Star Light House. Across the foyer at First Street Studio Theatre, guest seating is provided as 3 rows in a horseshoe shape around the stage. This private setting provides an exclusive up-close experience for every single guest in the room. The programme this year features two new love stories, spoken word, and several of the love-story favorites from previous years.
“This is one of my favorite shows, where we get to dance to such captivating music onstage with a live string quartet. In such an intimate performance setting, the audience gets to literally feel the vibrations of the instruments with us,” said AJ Garcia-Rameau, Director of Ventana Ballet.
